Various comments I've seen indicate that the Greens are defending Doyle by playing loose with the facts. As any party would. Apparently the death threats came before Winston raised the matter in public not as a result of his intervention.

The media reporting is slanted though which is more difficult to understand. It's almost as if they've taken a political position rather than just reporting the facts however distasteful. Nothing new there though I guess.

First I am going to say that I find it hilarious that Benjamin Doyle is facing the likelihood of being ousted from Parliment, when he, himself, replaced someone from the Green Party who was ousted from parliment.

Almost like there is a pattern among Green MPs.

Right - now that my jabs at the Greens is done, this may shock a lot of you...

I think what is happening here is more misunderstanding of certain nuances of a particular modern Gay Male subculture than anything else.

Now - to be clear, I do not like Benjamin or his Politics nor do I like the Political wing of LGBTQIA+ABC123 activism.

But at the same time, from the reporting I have seen, he is being pilloried for a misunderstanding.

Bussy - a portmanteau of Boy and Pussy, would - on face value - give distinct pedophilic vibes. But that is because most people aren't aware of the subculture of Femboys. Essentially Gay Men who do not believe themselves to be Female (like a Trans Woman) but dress, act and behave in an effeminate manner.

Boys in this since is NOT meant strictly in terms of age (although there is an element of youth) but more in being submissive. I know of adults who proudly proclaim themselves to be femboys. I also know of guys who have said 'I'm not gay, but I'd fuck a Femboy' (Source - Military history and Firearm enthusiast Discord servers that cater to the Internet generation.)

A number of them definitely have fantasies of having a 'straight' boyfriend.

And I mean - one look at Mr Doyle - he definitely has a Femboy look about him.

So - as much as it pains me to do so (because I really love watching the Greens implode with scandal after scandal) - I think this is one scandal that when the words being used are understood in context and the wider subcultural meaning - It might be distasteful if you don't go in for that sort of thing - but it is not illegal.

About the only thing we do know is the Green Party has exceptionally poor candidate selection and vetting processes. The best example of why society should be based on meritocracy not participation. All full scientific evidence that the wacky weed use impairs brain function.

Apparently Mr Doyle has a partner and child, so I’m confused as to where the LGBQT thing comes in, however….allegedly his social media posts talk about transitioning his child to the opposite gender
I think people have concentrated on Doyle and overlooked the possibility of a child being harmed.
I must say the Greens certainly specialise in different candidates
