Well we used to have season opener at Qatar. It was almost like: whoever won that was doomed thereafter to midfield.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
It would appear to be Bez's best , probably only, chance to win the title. I'm hoping for that as I like to see the championship swing around a bit.
But that is optimism I fear.

Well he kept to script. Well iimpressed by that boy. And isn't Pedro doing a Quatararo on the KTM?
Martin deserves his sprint victory. Though Aprilia et all, need a big button in centre dash: I've won the race: wheelie Control OFF

I highly recommend this if you dont watch them..
The "inside ducati" youtube highlights. Its probably very selective but still cool. In here Marc says the bike is ok, I am the problem, and then says a bit later "the bike is one thing, and I am another, I am struggling". Then he says, "if I can get the first 3 laps right, I can win"
He was catching diggia and therefore martin/bez in the last few laps of the GP, so even a crippled Marc is still good (we know this already dont we?)

Interesting comments from Mat Oxley
Mat Oxley warned Marc Marquez that every MotoGP rider wants revenge against him. Riders have grudges to settle when they face Marc Marquez..The Bastianini vs. Marquez battle towards the end of the race was the best moment. Marquez messed up Bastianini in qualifying. It was very close, Oxley said on his podcast with Peter Bom.
Every rider on the grid has a reason to want revenge on Marc. Every rider has a grudge. They all want to get revenge on Marc for various reasons, whether it's to beat him or embarrass him or both. Everyone has unfinished business with Marc Marquez.
Marc, in particular, is at the top of everyone's list for various reasons, Oxley asserted.
As if to prove Oxley's point, Bastianini said he felt a surge of motivation when Marquez passed him at the Circuit of the Americas.
He said, via Moto IT: "I have to admit that when Marc overtook me, I was really excited, but that was because I knew I could pass the rider in front of me after a few laps. Marc came from behind, and I knew he had very good pace."
"I wasn't worried about tire wear and just tried to stay behind him. I almost succeeded, but clearly we were still missing a few things."
___
No wonder all riders suddenly get excited every time they get the chance to fight Marquez.

Especially ex teammates I'd imagine.

I think it is natural tbh, if you think you're one of the best, and there is someone who is better, you aim to beat them. I dont think these guys are naturally humble, only a few. So they will, in the heat of the moment, always find an excuse why they failed to beat the other guy.. he cheats, he's too aggressive, he's an asshole, hes too rich, he has the best bike, he had better tyres, etc etc etc
Or.. he's a generational talent and you're not.. imho they should just ride their best, take advantage when he messes up because he's human and enjoy the battle with one of the best - but then, that doesnt make for good headlines :P
