    Mystery Rally

I was thinking and riding today (on SH22 none the less) about having a KB mystery rally. I remember a few I went on "years" ago and thought a KB one would be awesome. By "mystery" I mean where there are checkpoints, answer questions/do tasks, riddles and then some random hint as to where to go to next. Looking at the calendar, Sun 04/12 might be a good date? I dont mind doing most of the stuff, but will need a few keen helpers.. Anyone have any idea's - good, bad or ....
It's been a rough day. I got up this morning, put on a shirt and a button fell off.
As I ran out the door, I picked up my briefcase, and the handle came off.
Now I'm afraid to go to the bathroom.

Never been on SH22 yet, and not in a rush to break myself in by "rallying" around. Although it is a pretty cool idea. Will the clues be in glove friendly envelops?

The word "rally" may have been a bit misleading :slap:
I dont expect it to be a hard-out "race", but completion times will be tracked and will have a bearing on the overall "winner". Am thinking that "teams" can also enter...

If you're interested in a 5 day "mystery" rally, check this out: http://www.rustynuts.co.nz/default.aspx?PageID=8. The RNMC always organise demanding rides which are huge fun, and the TIKI ride looks a good 'un.

    Mystery Rally - Details confirmed

    Thread update... Can't seem to update the first post, so... details confirmed are;

    WHERE: Auckland Museum Carpark
    DATE: Sunday 4th December 2005
WHEN: 9:30 - Ready to leave at 10am sharp!
HOW LONG: Expected finish around 3pm

    RECOMMENDATIONS:
    • Small teams may enter - recommended 3 bikes per team
    • Bring a mapbook (highly recommended)
    • Bring a pen
    • Bring a cellphone to call me if you get "lost". Vodafone users can txt me free!
    • Around $10 in cash (for incidental expenses)
    • Other "optional" items - compass, wet weather gear, shovel (just kidding on this one), and your brain!

Could you also ensure that your name is down in the calendar so I know how many documents etc I need to bring on the day (in glove-friendly envelopes of course - Not!) .. Ty!

C'mon dude, do you want me to tell you the whole route (or maybe you just want to follow my ass again

Suffice to say, you dont have to be in a team, but as the old saying goes "more heads are better than one" - or maybe I just made that up?

Anyway, there will be a cross section of riding, some urban, some rural. Some north, some south, some east, some west.. Now does that answer your question? lol
