94 Ducati 900ss Tune up Info needed Please

My darling 94 Ducati 900ss is due for a tune up. Havent had it long and this is the first one. I would hugely appreciate info on the best place to take it to in the Auckland/Northland area. She's done around 28,000Kms now. Had a new back sprocket and chain fitted when I bought it and a new back tyre recently but thats it. I am so totally challenged when it comes to this stuff so appreciate any help or info offered.

as bonez said need a cambelt change especially if you are unsure of the bikes past history. If you take it to a shop to do then they will do oil,air filters etc as part of the service just be aware it could cost upwards of 6-700 $.

Can't speak for the northland region about servicing sorry , but it could be worth looking at / joining http://www.ducati.net/ I've learnt alot myself on Ducati's via it's BBS system. It could be worth your while checking out the FAQ section as well. http://www.ducati.net/faq.cfm

    Hi

Have a look at the Ducati Message Board http://speedzilla.com/forums

Bonez is right - a regular change of timing belts (after 20,000km or after two years) and oil is very important for the Italian ladies
