LED's - Integrated Brake and Indicators

Just put clear LED's (integrated brake/indicators) on the bike and, at least for the moment, the standard rear indicators are still in place. Havent decided whether they should go (depends on WOF and other feedback I get), but after having a play, I found that if I totally remove the rear indicators, then the indicators flash faster (assumedly cos it thinks a bulb is out?)

Not too good with electric's, so the question is how do I stop the thing from flashing faster if I decide to remove the rear indicators? Can I by-pass something or get to rip something out?

The attachment is an animated gif that shows the indicators working...

It's been a rough day. I got up this morning, put on a shirt and a button fell off.
As I ran out the door, I picked up my briefcase, and the handle came off.
Now I'm afraid to go to the bathroom.

You have to fit a resistor in parallel to the indicator circuits. Not sure what size resistor. My LED ear unit came with them. Bike also passed a WOF recently without a number plate light or rear reflector.
Superdukes. Serving up shame to sportsbikes since ages ago.

or you can buy a new relay that's designed to work with LEDs. Cos the LEDs draw such little power, it's the same has having a bulb out. So either a resistor or new relay will fix the problem.

Thanks for the feedback so far. I have some 20 Ohm resistors that will probably do the trick. I am guessing that as the "Indicator" LED's are only hooked up to the positive, that I will have to put the resistor on the negative? How much heat can I expect to get out of them?

Will have another play in the weekend and see if I can get em to work. If I can, there are gonna be two holes in the undertail where the OEM indicators were, so will need to find a way to make this look more "aesthetically pleasing as possible"
