    Cannonball Run

Watched 20/20 last night and saw the bit about the so-called Cannonball Run across Europe, 1000kms (or was it miles?) in 3 days. Managed to keep my dinner down, but only just. Maybe it's just envy, I dunno, but I got the impression that it was just a dick-waving contest. A bunch of hooray-Henrys sucking on champers, driving their Ferraris and Lambos along the motorways at speed (yeah..that takes skill) while being given fellatio by their scantily-clad little blonde hangers-on .....bragging about how big their speeding fines were..and how little sleep they'd had? Personally I'd poison the bastards......get them out of the gene pool before they multiply.

Yeah, I'm jealous, I admit it.....

Alright..I made up the bit about the fellatio

the best one was where jackass did it... not as easy as you think thou.

At one point they go through eastern europe, and a load of people were carjacked at gunpoint.

Must have been 1000miles as 1000kms in three days sounds a little....brief.

Especially as they covered a few countries, start in England, and went thru at least France, Belguim, Austria, Germany and Italy.

Bugger, I missed it. But I've seen previous years highlights so I get the drift. Personally, if my dick could afford to sit in a million dollar supercar I'd be happy to wave it at anyone who looked - particularly Jodie Kidd, was she doing this one?

    I think it was 2000km, not 1000.

    A couple of points.

Yes you are jealous, of course. Nothing wrong with that.

There is a bike event during the run. Forgot who one it, will see if I can find the site again.

It looked like a hell of a lot of fun, lucky bastards! And it was won by two kiwis - how come none of you mentioned that? Mike Hourigan (who races Jags) was one, and I didn't catch the name of the bald guy with him.

    Lovely cars, drool!

I've done 1000kms in one day, 7am to 10pm, including the ferry ride and waiting for it, usually an hour or 2. Used to do it twice a year from Bay of Plenty to Chch and back, for Uni. It'd have to be like 10000kms for those speeds for 3 days.
