We don't let chaps in here...

Especially the sort with fringes... (the fringe element)

No, it's proper riding pants or nothing...

    eek

    Gudday there Firefight and others!
As a newby on the KB site I noticed that there wasn't a post from anyone under 230(ish) posts putting up a comment. As a real novice here , there is obviously a set of "rules" and another of "unwritten rules" so I imagine ther is plenty of potential for the newer members to put their feet in their mouths (something I do on a regular basis... ).
Is there a "better" set of do's and don'ts anywhere around here???

On a slight sidetrack, Scumdog (a well respected member) posted some time ago on the typical KB posting topics.. from memory it went something like:
    1. Newbie binned it
    2. F***ing pigs
    3. Squid binned it
    4. F***ing Highway patrol
    5. Seeking advice on new bike
    6. F***ing ticket
    7. I just bought a...
    8. Awesome ride...
    9. F***ing awesome runner today
    10. Newbie binned it on Awesome Ride (see post 8)

and so it went on. Very easy to put foot in mouth around here. We've all done it.

Basically if it's none of your business don't post accident info, avoid paparazzi like behaviour, this isn't a tabloid.

If you organised the event or were DIRECTLY involved then you can make some general comments to reassure others. E.g: "We had a bit of an off today, I'll let the person concerned (no names necessary) fill you in when he/she is up to it."

It is only up to the person who crashed and their fly to go into details => Thier life, their bike, their business.

Just a little aside -or perhaps on point from FF's comment.
NOT relating to any crash in particular
Talking on here or to the HP about a crash could jepardise the rider in questions licence and or possible insurance claim.
I would NEVER suggest telling lies --I would strongly suggest we keep our mouths shut.
If the rider in question chooses to share their experience fine but otherwise --zippo

It's fairly straightforward. You get involved, talk some shit, give some people some shit, help out where you can and be part of the assylum BWHAAHAHAHAHAHAhahaha .... ahahaha ... aaa ...

Erm uh yeah and just keep up and you'll be fine.

Perfection is not something you should ever attain, but something to always strive for. For if we actually achieve our idea of perfection, is it then any longer perfect?

Without making a big deal of this and getting it blown out of all proportion. I found the two "sticky" threads associatied with 'inline4' and his accident yesterday.

One reason for this was because they where in the "rant'n'rave" forum, a forum reserved for "NON-BIKER" related topics and general nonsense.

This seems to be a huge lack of respect upon KB's point of view that such serious threads are relagated to the "non biker forum", regardless of the fact they are sticky. Surely they should be moved to GENERAL. which most people would consider the most popular forum. These people sound like they will need as much help as they can get in the future, something that won't happen if people don't know they need it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
