    Well you can't really if you buying from an internet store ...
    but I suppose you can get them to right a letter or something saying it is definatley 49cc or whatever so if it is not then you have some sort of recourse.

    That's probably a pretty dandy plan. But couldn't you just get a new engine for like $150?
