Are cops allowed to park on the footpath for revenue collection?

We are allowed to park basically anywhere though some places we wouldnt when carrying out our lawful duty, which can mean either parking there when going to a priority one domestic or doing road policing.

Its not a good look ill be the first to admit and just cause we can do it doesnt mean i would do it.

actually, the times I've seen it, he's been on the eastbound side (approaching the motorway). plenty of peds using that side. I was just implying that the westbound traffic was more likely to be speeding, I dont recall which way he was pointing the gun.

in fact, recollecting, one time, quite a while back, it was one of the old Camry wagons with a camera in the back, parked in a driveway, not a cop with a hairdryer on the footpath. but I think that was only once, and theyve always used the eastbound side.

That'd be fun - this guy'd have to dismount the curb on the way onto the road... do it just as a bus is coming up the road (note the bus stop... seconded for revenue generation purposes also)

Don't know really. I have parked on footpaths heaps of times but never for that purpose. Have to go with what Lou says.
