    10/40 10/50 or even 20

I run motul 5100 (10/40) good stuff, keeps the false neutrals at bay.

Doesnt really matter a hell of alot what you run, just make sure that your oil system is going good, and you warm it up properly before every ride.

Yeah good advice. Anything along the lines of 10w-40 to 20w-50 fully synthetic will be sweet. Just make sure you get the bike specific stuff from the shop and it'll be fine

I used Mobil One (for bikes) which is a fully synthetic 15W-50 in my old FXR - found it to run very nicely using this so did not try anything else. I will be changing the oil in my ZXR next week so what's the opinion on this particular oil?

the guys at motomart in teh hutt sold me a 4 litre bottle of motul 20w/50 for something like $40 and about $10 for the filter. got the guys at the shop to change it for me too, $110 including wof ($35) and hour n half labour.

i remember waiting in the shop and a bike came in the driveway area sounding bloody good, everyone looks up and out the front doors/windows and it was none other than my bike ridden by the mechanic just back from vtnz just down the road. i felt sooo cool at that moment :P

10-50 synthetic and change it every 5000ks.
I use Motul but there are better oils out there, Amsoil is about the best one but at about $20 a ltr its not cheep!
