    Iridium Visor

Just found a nice big scratch on my visor today. No idea where it came from but I think I can now use it as an exchuse to get the iridium visor I want.

Anyone know where I can go to have a look at some of these, what sort of price should I be looking at paying, and what (apart from night riding) are the general drawbacks to these visors?

    Cheers,

I had an Iridium visor and it was impossible to keep the thing clean. Any time you touched it it left a fingerprint that needed to be scrubbed off. Scratched it trying to clean it and swore never to get another.

Whats the attraction of these visors? Just asthetics or does it provide some optical advantages?

I just brought one for my nolan helmet.. Looks bloody cool, nice tint level, but it looks like its going to be a hassle to clean without scratching it

tend to be of a lighter tint than a dark visor so better at dusk night and they still are good in bright light

oh yeah they look real cool

Yeah bro, they are all good I reckon. When I got some prices for my SHOEI I think they were around $100.00 or even a bit more, probably depends a lot on the brand of helmut you have though too.

All right stop collaborate and listen
Dover's back with my brand new invention
Something grabs a hold of me tightly
Flow like a harpoon daily and nightly
Will it ever stop yo I don't know
Turn off the lights and I'll glow
To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal
Light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle
Dance go rush to the speaker that booms
I'm killing your brain like a poisonous mushroom
Deadly when I play a dope melody
Anything less than the best is a felony
Love it or leave it you better gain weight
You better hit bull's eye the kid don't play
If there was a problem yo I'll solve it
Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it

I have one, the biggest thing I've noticed is that it's REALLY easy to scratch the coating (coating apears to be on the outside, not the inside... HJC brand). so you have to make sure the visor doesnt bump into anything more than normal when carrying it, or storing on your bike.

Am going to see if I can find something to stick over it on for the next one I get to protect it (like a fog city insert, but for the outside...) or whether i can spray a clear laquer or enamel over it?

But it is a very nice visor for a tinted, and things are alot more clear i've found using it over just my untinted visor.

    my 2c..
