Not technically a concert as such,
But I've seen a few class DJs spin some decks in the UK..
DJ Spoony
The Tidy Boys
Lisa Lashes....
oh man... if only I could remember half of what happened.

Strange how I can barely remember the best ones.
Musta bin the chemicals.
Although Neil finn's '7 Worlds Collide' show was unbelieveably good.
Eddie Vedder, Ed O'Brien, Sebastien Steinberg, Lisa Germano, Phil Selway, Johnny Marr, Tim Finn and Betchadupa all on the same stage. A once in a lifetime experience.
Speed doesn't kill people.
Stupidity kills people.
I was at Pink Floyd in the late eighties(I think) but dont remember a whole lot. Dire Straights was cool, as was Robert Cray. Saw ZZtop at Western Springs. The Feelers at Wanganui were pretty cool too.
By far the best was Blindspot at Crusty Demons in 04. Those guys ROCK!! I must have been the only 30something year old in the mosh-pit with all these youngins.![]()
I envy you soooo much, I would have loved to have attended a Priest concert, being the all time favourite band of the entire universe for me.Originally Posted by SARGE

He was a Zombie?
It's so funny no one picked that Rob Halford was gay. You could hear the collective, "Eeewwwwwwwww", reverberate round the hardcore Metal world when that one "came out".Originally Posted by kronos

On one of my first-ever trips to Wellington for fish & chips (Massey student in Palmerston North) in the late 1970s, one of my then mates brothers had a flat on top of the hill in Brooklyn overlooking Athletic Park. We sat on his front lawn and listened to Rod Stewart's band do a "sound check" -- basically a full-noise concert for about two hours.
Since then, in no particular order
Dire Straits (twice) -- Western Springs
Elton John -- Western Springs
Rolling Stones -- Western Springs (the warm-up band was Graeme Brazier's and kept getting encored)
Fleetwood Mac -- Western Springs
B52s -- Logan Campbell Centre
The Motels -- Logan Campbell Centre
Split Enz -- Palmerston North Town Hall and the Wellington Winter Show Buildings.
And a USO concert in Washington DC for the "Victory Day" celebrations post-Desert Storm. I wasn't there for the whole thing but sat through sets by Bruce Springstein, Bonnie Raitt and Tom Petty. On the way back to the hotel I wandered into a jazz bar in Georgetown where the act was Courtney Pine. Words fail me. Sigh.
"Standing on your mother's corpse you told me that you'd wait forever." [Bryan Adams: Summer of 69]
Mine was Bon Jovi-1995, Johannesburg...It rocked!!!!!!!!
Don't you just love golf?
Been to lots of good ones, the Best including Pink Floyd, U2 (Logan Campbell Ctr), U2/BB King and Deep Purple (about a year ago).
The Worst was Fleetwood Mac, 1979 in Wellington. 5 people on stage who hated each other, and it showed.
Loudest (and second most distorted) was Deep Purple, 1984 at the Springs.
Most Distorted Sound was Dylan / Petty & Heartbreakers at Mt Smart.
Most Boring was the Eagles (hell freezes) at the Springs
Most Missed was Stevie Ray - I didn't go (other things to do), thinking "I'll catch him next time" - a few weeks later he was dead.
ACC - It's where the Enron accountants all went.
Not been to many but the ones that stand out.
Bowie at QEII.
BB King 2x at the Chch Town Hall
JJ Cale. Civic Theatre
John Mayel Civic.
The one I missed and never forgiven myself was Santana.
Skyryder
Free Scott Watson.
saw Hair in 71
John Mayalls Bluesbreakers in Wgtn 71 and 72
Steeleye Span in 75
Uriah Heep in Western Springs - Kiwi Gary Thain got a great reception
David Bowie - Low concert Western Springs
David Bowie - Glass Spider - was crap (Athletic Park)
Snuck in to see encore for Kiss at Athletic park - bloody good
U2 with BB King at Athletic park - the best
Pink Floyd at Western Springs 88 - loved the concert hated the crowd - I think they thought we were cops and the crowd around us was less than friendly.
Knebworth England 90 - I bought the CD's too - I swear I can hear my singing in the background.
Dire Straits - Sheffield
Pearl Jam, Van Halen and Metallica all within a month in Wgtn loved all of them
The worst concert I went to was Jeff Beck with Jan Hammer - totally boring not one familliar song but then I didn't have any JB in my collection - but the opening act Ragnarock were terrific with a stunning version of Kashmir.
Got one of thier albums somwhere. Might just go and find it. Thanks for that.Originally Posted by Fryin Finn

I came out of that wanting to go back in and do the whole thing again.
It took me at least a month to stop smiling everytime I thought about it.
The bass was reverberating through my body it was AWESOME! I think I got stoned from the air in there though![]()
I have also seen:
AC/DC
Guns and Roses
Ziggy Marley - climbed the fence
Went to Mountain Rock in Manawatu, went to see Joe Satch play
Dave Dobyn & Bic Runga at the Angus Inn Hastings
ZZ Top at the Big Top (2000 people, mostly gang members, it was a really intense atmosphere)
Jack Johnson supported by Donavan Frankenrieter - Wicked concert
Om nom nom.
Steeleye Span were great - saw them in Auckland and everyone came out of the concert sort of bouncing and dancing down the streetOriginally Posted by Fryin Finn
That Bowie concert was good as well -
The worst one was a Pentangle concert in Aucks about '72 - the concert was OK, but I'd dropped a red on the Friday night and by half way through the concert on Sunday night - my body cried enough - shit it was hard driving home afterwards - sort of matchsticks in eyes, keeping them open........didnt do that again.!
Stevie Ray Vaughan - he seemed to be almost a fixture here for a while - did the same thing - thought - must go and see him next time he's out - then. . . . . .
“- He felt that his whole life was some kind of dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it.”
I haven't been to many, but Phil Collins' 'But Seriously' tour to Perth years ago was a beaut.
This has brought back memories. I went to the Split Enz concert in Tauranga just before they released their first album, 'Mental Notes' (1974/5?)
