Wanted to buy - GSX250 Engine

I need a 1982-1984 GSX250 engine or similar in good running order.

The second hand engine I bought for my bike is fucked and would cost quite a bit to repair it so I need one in good order.

Apparently a GSX400 engine of that era would also fit into the bike and there may well be engines from other models that will drop nicely into the frame.

The bike itself is a 1984 but the second-hand engine I dropped into it was a 1982 model.

If anyone has got a mangled GSX250 or compatible that was running just sweet before the retarded cager turned the rest of the bike into a pretzel, I would be most interested.

    BUMP

Just in case someione out there knows of any running engine that'll fit.

I keep having to extend the hold on the rego and I'm getting desperate to have a running bike.

    Any
running, road legal bike, even an old PoS like the GSX.

Anyone out there know of any running engine that would fit?

Or anyone who has a functioning, road legal bike of at least 125ccs for sale really really cheap.

Cheers. Dunno if it'll bolt into the frame, tho'. Anyone got any idea if a GSF250 bandit engine and radiator will fit into a GSX250 (air-cooled) frame?

Hey mate, just to confirm for you the 400 engine is a straight swap.

I've actually got a gsx250 (an 86 I think, I haven't looked at it for ages ) that was a good runner, but I'd want to sell the whole thing, and probably want more than your really wanting to pay anyway (never mind transport issues). Give me a PM if interested thou and I'll tell you more.

Is that liquid-cooled or something? Or is that mess of plumbing on top not actually part of it? Looks the wrong shape to fit in the bike. Cheers, tho'.

This is the same model as I have - slated as an '82 but mine was first reg'ed in 84 (2 years before the model reaches NZ after being released in Japan, maybe?)
