    De-reg'd Cibby

just picked one up for 5 hundy as a winter project.
has anyone re-reg'd a bike before? i wanna know what VTNZ focuses on so i can work on them the most.
i reckon 5hundy is a steal for an mc22. also wanna know if there other places for parts in the auck area except for Atomic and Action.
the bike's pretty rough fairing wise too.. if anyone got any tips to get it up to scratch let me know
    Thanks!

yeah i'd love to race it. really really would. but i'v been living without the folks for just over a year (they moved to aus) and money is tight! so just wanna get it road worthy for now, then maybe when i upgrade i'll put it on the track. still though, need some tips. the bike's got no structural rust so thats a huge weight off. does anyone know any friendly VTNZ people who do bikes? the ones i usually speak to seem like they got a carrot up their ass the whole time. i'll put up some pics tonight or tomorrow cause its not at mine, the mrs' mum had a fit because i got cars clogging up the driveway already.

yes $500 is a steal for an MC22 - I just bought a slightly wrecked one (buggered forks) for $400....so if your's is in good nick you did well. Only last month I found an MC22 motor only for sale for....$1000!!!

As for compliance, check with John Brett at http://www.lowvolumevehicle.co.nz/. Not sure if he does what you are after, but seems like a helluva nice guy and willing to help.

yeah mate full set what are you after? - will need repaint, most fairings dont need major repair (i.e., most damage being a mounting tab missing - mounts fine without)

lol yeah my fairings have most screw hole mountings cracked off which means most of them are only held by a couple of screws.
i know my accelerator is gone so need that, theres just a metal bar there..
where abouts are you? (renegade master).
jetboy: how many kms did the engine do? i picked one up thats done 20,000 for 600. i thought that wasnt too bad either.

The engine I bought has done 22,000 but it came with (almost) a full bike. $600 isn't too bad at all from what I've seen.
