'Twas excellent to meet you Dave and have a natter re the Tractor. Which reminds me, where the hell were the Buells? I would have thought AMPS would have chucked a Ulysses and a Lightning at the stand.

Cheers - It was an 'Importers Association' show - of which H-D are not a member.

Did you ever see the episode of 'The Goodies' where they practiced 'Apart Height' - everyone short (bill) was discriminated against. Use that as your model.

I was pretty disappointed with the bike show to be honest. All the manufacturers bar Suzuki had last years models on display, nothing we haven't all seen before. The only thing worth looking at was the new gixxer6, even if it was a hand built prototype.

Good on Suzuki for making a bit of effort, the others were pretty piss poor except for Yamaha and the lovely "models" on their stand, even if they were sitting on the 05 R1 and arse sex.

welcome to living in the last outposts of civilisation - if you want to be first to see everything - go and live in a city with 10 million people and enjoy the queues.

Been there, done it, enjoyed it.

I'm not asking to be the first to see everything, after all most of the new 06 models have been unveiled at multiple trade shows around the world and the pics are in circulation, but this was supposed to be the NZ Motorcycle Show was it not? Bringing together a bunch of bikes that have been in the showrooms for months is hardly a show!!

i know what you are saying but - i enjoyed it and saw heaps of things I'd not before.

I suggest you address your concerns to messers Honda, Suzuki and Bloor and their factories and suggest they raise the priority rating of their smallest market - And they best delay releases at Milan show till they get here.

Failing that - have a word to the organisers of Big Boys toys and see if they can move it to a date when next years bikes are more likely to be available. And don't forget the 2 months at sea and getting through customs.

Just add - acknowledge that the thing could be better too.

I guess Triumph makes an ST as well. Imitation being a form of flattery?
