When does the racing start? What time will people start getting settled in? So where's the best place Sensei?

I have to ride a bit like a Nana ($1.10?) as im still on my learners so I tend to have a limited number of people to ride with (and a limited top-speed anyway). The ones that do are fun to ride with anyway. Should be able to arrange something though. Maybe Ill leave earlier or something .

Racing starts at 11, practice at 7:45am. Noob's like myself get 4 laps before everyone else - yippee.

I always watched from about 9'ish for memory and thats plenty to set up camp somewhere.

Everywhere is good, start/finish line is a barstard to get good view though.

Sounds like there will be plenty of kb'ers down there. Sent my entry form away last week so will be racing in F3 on my 125 if all goes according to plan, number 14. Come and say hi, most likely be in a close proximity to kickaha and/or dangerous (sadly) for some of the day so come and say hi.

    .

We're riding to Morrinsville on the 24th, and back down to Wanganui on Christmas Day to get there in time for scrutineering (I think it starts @ 2.00pm).

We normally spend most of the day watching from the esses, though last year with the pits being in a different place we spent a lot of time on the start/finish straight - I believe they've got a grandstand there this year, haven't decided whether or not to get tickets for that.

We've got a motel - we book in each year for the following year. No spare beds sorry.

Will no doubt catch Kickaha et al at scrutineering.

Gateway Motel...now that brings back the memories......we once (about 1983?) booked a room for the day - a vanload of us drove up and watched the Aussie Six Hour there (it was shown live on Aussie TV, and Gateway was one of the few motels that had a satellite dish back in those days). It was great - a local Wanganui lad named Richard Scott won, so we all piled around to his Mum's place to tell her.
