    help, with my bros650 rebuild....

help is greatly needed by this young dickhead [me] i have damaged my bros650 if you dont already know. i would like some help and advice.
1: i need a new headlight, should i go aftermarket, eg...buel, or some other streetfighter style? how expensive are these?
    2. could i fit a gpz right hand side control [killswitch and all that]. or should i just ge a new one, because mine looks like it exploded.
    3. where can i get a new tail peice [plastic thingy] from? i want a bros one, would a bros 400 tail peice fit?
    4. my tank has a large dent, the old man said this can be fixed with the right stuff. could i do this myself? or is there anyone in masterton/palmy area that could do it?
    5. new front gaurd. is there any aftermafket bits? or would an original be better or cheaper?
    6. new instument cluster.......that exploded when the bike bounced on it.
    7. my zorst has some big kinks, this, apparently, can be fixed.....how?

any help would be great thanks dudes

Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

no, i just can't imagine someone offering a fuckwit like me a better bike then i can handle. atleast i know now it would be a bad idea for both of us [me and winja] i would definatly be dead and his bike would be pancaked.

    look i learnt a lesson.

Hi Dude. You can get a replica headlight in Chrome for Hondas for under $100 from any shop or some funky after market ones for around the same $.
Yes ya can fit a gpz switch but you will need to adapt the wireing using the plugs from your bros and a couple o wireing diagrams. Try the wreckers for a tailpiece. Yea a 400 one should fit. Try Henery at Takanini mc wreckers. Same for tank and gauges and front guard. Pipe is up to you but he may have one o those too.
    Good luck man

    hey there D/L,

the decision is yours on what & how is to be done to the Bros.

aftermarket ideas for guards, lights etc have a nosey at Rapidart NZ

    www.rapidartf1.com

for stock replacement parts check, www.motorcyclewrecker.com

depending on how badly the tank & exhaust are, there is a few bits n pieces that can be done cheaply otherwise it starts getting more involved & expensive.:slap:

its a prick having to go through it & a bastard having had a dingle at speed like that, i remember skidding down the road on my ass watching my bike in front of me shoot of the road down a bank & cartwheel 3 times at 140kmh. it was all good until it decided to take up acrobatics, damage went minor to major in under 2sec

    Hey Dougy,

So, ya put it down the road....bugger..

Mind you when the ZX-10 is going properly, I'm going to be doing everything I can not to do the same !!!

Anyway, if you want anything to do with Honda spares you just cannot go past Econohonda. Malcolm is just awesome when it comes to price and service !!!

    Cheers

You can get Buell XB12S twin headlights for about $140 (maybe less) as a spare part.

Have a look on the net.. Customising these things was a big industry in the USA at one stage and all sorts of stuff could be had.

They were called something odd overthere... superhawks, hawk gt or something.

    Cheers
