"Standing on your mother's corpse you told me that you'd wait forever." [Bryan Adams: Summer of 69]
Thats a good read, thank you.
To every man upon this earth
Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods
i do take my hat off the movie was differently brilliant and refreshing. loved it and will be seeing it again. but its also typical of the older days in new zealand of back yard mechanics. (bush mechanic)
and thanks for the post.

That was a good read...now all I gotta do is go and see the blimin' movie!!
This part was funny:
Mention the words "Biker Boys" or "Torque" to a real rider, and you'll be met with a shudder and a scowl - and that's if they only saw the commercials!
Huh?? Not likely!Originally Posted by Motorcycle Daily

Hey, kids! Captain Hero here with Getting Laid Tip 213 - The Backrub Buddy!
Find a chick who’s just been dumped and comfort her by massaging her shoulders, and soon, she’ll be massaging your prostate.

But still better than an Aussie,Pom,or American accent like we usualy get lumbered with.
An one of the best movies I've seen in a long time, can't wait to buy the DVD an watch it a few dozen more times![]()
Does anyone know how we could get to see the 70's documentary?
Cheers

I thought it was well done... even the accent was ok especially when you consider what he started with, not a bad effort really. Everyone I know has seen it and is ready to see it again.

I'm reading the book now... good read!
"One good run - the legend of Burt Munro" by Tim Hanna.
A quote from the opening of the book
"If it blows up before the line it's too hot, if it blows up after the line it isn't hot enough, and if it blows up on the line it's just right" - Burt Munro
Be aware - in the authors words
"This work is a dramatic recreation of Burt Munro's life. It is not a history. I have used the available research to create an account that fits the facts and reflects his character and personality..."
But it's GREAT background stuff - and a good easy enough read (if you're a bookworm like me)

I thought he did quite well actually at representing a South Island accent from the 1960's. It didn't sound too bad to me.Originally Posted by WRT
I think I head somewhere that he does a great Tim Shadbolt impression, love to see that when he picks up the Oscar!Originally Posted by MacD
