    Alternative can for ZXR250

I currently have a DID race can which came with my ZXR. I was wondering what other brands manufacture decent performance cans which are designed to fit on the ZXR? Where in Auckland is the best place to go for such an item?

The reason I'm looking for another can is because my current one is very very loud and I'm considering something which is a bit quieter but still sounds good - without losing too much of whatever power gain my current can is giving.

Saw this Beet one on trademe, any comments on this?

    Thanks

They are a ripoff! $300 for a can for a 250 man... come on!

Gareth_d's zxr can was carbon and quite a looker so justifying the $250 or so price he paid for it - hard to get.

Go get a perforated pipe race can from a zx9r/6r etc from a wreckers and drill out the lobes on your headers to fit the 2mm larger diameter, then seal it up with sillicone. Sounds great, not too loud but perfect performance. I have had 3 cans now - stock, debaffled and zx9. ZX9 race can was far the best for noise/looks etc in terms of an overall package.

Can't beat debaffled for pissing people off though

The zxr can cost $60 and the zx9 was same price but I gave the guy $80 for helping figure out dimensions and stuff lol

    m/m

ps sorry i got no advice about new cans or whatnot but I do know that it probably wont be a stupid idea to get a new one (have to pull the clutch in everytime you see the fuzz )just remeber to to the jets again cos that bike is jetted for the can it has on (hence why it goes so well)

Yeah that is true but for a 250 non yoshi/2 bro's etc can. A no name cylindrical bit of metal that could be custom machined for just a bit less! I just think that is a little pricey. I got no qualms scraping the bottom of the barrel with dented cans from crashed bikes with my bikes current condition.
