    Kudos to Custom Chambers

Following on from an earlier thread re the VTR roar, I got bitten by the bug and just had some new pipes fitted.

Custom Chambers in East Tamaki (274-1155), just made a set for mine. Pete does a real nice job (despite the look of his workshop), they look and sound like the business. A bit worried though as they are pretty loud, fingers x'd for the next warrant, although I still have the original set.

The price was $650.00 for chrome, or $850.00 for S Steel. I went with the SS option.

Here is the before MOV. file.

those sound awesome.. I've had work done by that dude before (can't remember his name at the mo), and it's been top notch.. When I had my bike there, he was doing a SS underseat conversion to an R1 before it became the hype.. looked good

    Cheers Buggy,

They do sound nice, I worry a bit coz they are real loud, in the movie file I am only revving it to no more than 2 1/2 3K.

The blokes name is Pete, workshop looks like a dungeon, but he turns out some nice work.

Some photos of the new pipes on your bike would be a good idea so we can get an idea of the standard of finish. They have certainly improved the noise...

that's a nice note. I'd even say the first one is a nice note.. but the second one is gorgeous.

Pity the camera wasn't in the same place for each one, the second one was very muted in sound and volume needed to be turned up to get a good idea of what's going on.

interesting to see your wheel spin there, I hope it was on a good stand.

I never want to drop a bike off a stand with the wheel going though, that would be the bad.
