Leather cleaning & care?

Hey speaking of beeswax what is the name of leather care wax they sell at Gemells Footware in Symonds St?

They suggested me that wax when I ask for Beeswax for my glove and boots care. It worked very well and I liked it but I can't find it since I come back to Japan...

I can't find exact same thing overhere and can't remember the name of it...
I remember it had Elephant's picture on lid.

Would be great to know the name of wax.

Most of the time it's best to use an official leather cleaning product, as using your own formula with water etc, you run the risk of soaking the leather, which will damage it.

bike leathers can get soaking wet... we ride in the rain
some products designed for horse gear & furniture etc are not good for bike leathers.

even with products recomended for bike leathers dose not mean it will be good for all bike leathers.

there are things to consider; age, type of leather, dyeing and the type of finish when chosing a product

Nikwax. Smear it on and use a hair dryer to warm it up. Watch the leather soak it up!

Yup, good stuff. Rub it in with your hands, the heat melts it & you can get into all those nooks & crannies. softens your digits up too.
