Talking got a brand new katana last week

    Hi all

My name is Vince. I am a (sort of) seasoned rider who only just got his full license three weeks ago. Let me explain..

I had an FZR250 about 6 years ago, which i owned and rode frequently for about 3 years, however, it decided it didnt want to be owned by me anymore, so one day i came home, and it was gone, with only the tarp i had covering it to remind me of my loss.

I never saw her again, and because of insurance costs, i never got her insured (though i would have paid her full value in 3 years anyway). So i have been unable to afford a new one.......UNTIL NOW.

And i didnt just get a new bike, I got a NEW bike. A brand spanking new Suzuki GSX600f Katana. And she is a beaut. In my eyes anyway. So i have joined this site to try and get enthused about meeting and learning and all sorts of things to do with two wheeled, engine run, machines.

Hope to talk to some of you soon

haha, true. looks like it would go pretty well in first anyway.
What size is it? 600? 900? hard to tell just by looking at it these days. My 600 seemed a lot bigger when i first saw it. Couldnt believe how cheap it was. only $9995 for a brand new bike. i was looking at spending between $8000 and $10000 on a bike, so was pretty happy.

It's a baby 600, like yours new to the household - 1 week and 1 day and we had our 1st anniversary (1000k run in and service on thursday).

Yeah mate, nice price. A brand spanker for that sort of coin has got to make you smile I'm sure you'll enjoy her

    Welcome Vinnie,

The bike suits you to a tee, great choice! We will have some awesome rides dude.
Some days it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.

nah, was telling my mrs about that though, told her my bike was looking a little dirty. which is crazy, because i give it a buff after every ride, and it lives under a cover, and has only been around for two weeks, so i dont think she was falling for that one
