Show of hands please - who contributed?

Okay, some may have read the posting by Chickenfunkstar relating to this (these quotes knicked from Stuff, not MSN):
"Police Minister Annette King said there were 1866 police pursuits over the past year. Of these, 547 were abandoned by police. "

Now I've got a few questions that I'd like answers to thanks...

    1. Can we have a show of hands please who made their contribution to the 547?
    2. Can we also have an indication of how many each individual KBer contributed to the 547.
    3. What does the 5-0 classify as a pursuit?
    4. Anyone want to admit to the embarassment of being in the other 1319?

    And as for this:
"There have been reports of police abandoning pursuits when it no longer seemed safe to continue due to excessive speeds."

    4. Can someone please tell me what is considered "excessive". 'Cos it seems 200km/h into oncoming traffic isn't excessive enough.

Poll is confidential by the way (unless the bastards get a search warrant)...

    Not Guilty

I wasn't in that lot, hope not to be in that situation, would definetly be in two minds if I was, and probably ending up stopping and wondering if I should have, if that makes sense.
Some days it's not even worth chewing through the restraints.

Arrow I ride like a nana.

I would never do a thing like that and no I would not know who it was either.

In the [insert Sheriff John Bunnell's drawl here] "specially built high-performance pursuit vehicle" no doubt? Of the bikes you saw, how many did you get, and what were they?

And tell me, what is the horseshit we're supposed to believe about pulling out of pursuits. I've been doing my darndest to find the limit, but I can't for the life of me figure out where it is that the cops will pull the pin (aside from them not knowing where the hell you went!)

Well,it's not so much abandoning pursuit,as kinda giving up - I expect they are hell bent on finding some sprotbike head down arse up in skin tight multicoloured leathers....lights flashing, sirens screaming...they go flying past some old fart doddering along in the slow lane wearing a velour track suit.....

The one last week seemed to hang around okay at over 200 (Commodore S). By 250 he was gone, but then he was geographically challenged by that stage.

I'd be surprised if a cop car with light bars would do much over 200 - 210 genuine. And then they've got to get up there after a u turn
