If its ok with you guys i'd like to join your jaunt around the coro loop. I just have to find the Papakura meeting point first.

Well if some of you Auckland guys who don't know where to go (red beach!) want to meet somewhere before hand, let me know what would suit you best. A fuel station somewhere close to the motorway in east auckland or something? Where are you? - Red beach in hibiscus (I don't know where that is)
We'll be waiting at Kopu for yas anyway![]()
Built for speed, not for comfort
Red Beach is next to Orewa. But I have had a chance to look at the map now. I think I just go down the Norhern motorway (highway one) and I will come to the Autobahn on the left eventually. Someone please put me right if this is wrong.Originally Posted by tristank

yep... go down the northern motorway.... past the city... were it becomes southern motorway... still SH1... and eventually... you'll see a big sign on a fly over bridge with all the symbols for gas station / food / bathrooms... then keep your eyes peeled... as big BP will be on the left after a few hundred more meters.. thats where we are meetingOriginally Posted by 2wheels in Red Beach
and make sure you do all the checks on your bike... will be a long ride![]()

Hey,
Can an old dude tag along on this ride? and could I meet up with you at Kopu?
I would be riding up from Rottonrua and could wait by the pub.
Does the ride go to Coro and then over to Matarangi and around through Whitanga, whangamata etc?
Thames is my home town so may call in earlier and see some rellies.
If you leave at 11.00am which sounds a bit late to me, you would be at Kopu about when?
Just a thought that was all specially if weather looks good.
Cheers

It's better to not pass and know that you could have than to pass and find out that you can't. Wait for the straight.

I dunno now, looking at the weather....mind you the BOPMCC Poker run was fun in the rain.Warmer now too hhmmm!
Bummer! I have to choose between Coro Loop on Sunday and Maketu Burnout on Saturday.
I wish I could do both but budget tells me otherwise. Decisions decisions. Poker runs are fun it the wet, risky as hell, but thats what I love about riding.
There will probably be Coro rides every weekend so I might just see how lotto goes.
Will see what the weather is like early Sunday morning say 6.30-7.00 if looks reasonable I will be on for it. I live at Holdens Bay where can we meet up if its on.my ph is (021-2624205) txt me if you like.
