    CB/XL/TL 125 Racers

    Hey does anyone race any of these bikes in buckets if so can you tell me what they are like I have given up on the GT idea and am going to a XL but all those motors are the same,

    You want an XL125S. They have the good 6-speed gearbox and the good head. I'm pretty sure the cam from a XL200 fits straight in. All the others lack something, either the heads aren't as good or they have a 5-speed gearbox. Unless you go for a CB125T. John Connor seems to have a knack for making them go VERY well.

    Yeah I got the 5 speeder I think we are gonna chuck on the XL200 head so it has bigger valves bore the barrel out to 140 Wiseco piston oversize carb dad is even planning on running a CDI Ignition who is John Conner is he a kiwi member for some reason the twin cylinder was shit when dad raced it

    John organises and runs bucket racing in Auckland with help from Wendy. He also modifies and tunes Karl Morgan's 125T and has a hand in a couple of other fast 125Ts. He makes them handle in addition to making them go fast. He also invests a lot of time and effort into Karl's "real" racing and is generally a top bloke. Anyone only needs to ask and he will assist them by running their bikes on his homemade dyno.
