Hi my brother is looking for a cheap 250 (or similar) 4 stroke bike to use off road. Bike like an XR 250/XL250. Does not have to be a runner but must be complete..
Hope you guys can point me at one as then I'd get to borrow it for a ride sometime.

Cheep is a dollar...But up to (say ) $400. Dont mind a rolling chassis if thats what it takes and we can stick a second hand motor in it. I got a running MT125 -complete down to gas in the tank for $300 so they are out there.
Off to a mates farm at Hamilton today so I'll ask him if any of his mates have an old farm bike stuck away gathering dust. Hell he might even have one himself!!

Yea, you are right - they are out there. However, it is well to consider that cheap is relative. Often tis better to spend more upfront on a decent bike than it is to spend a small fortune getting an old shitter up to a rideable standard.
