Could KB perhaps pick one racer for the season and have a focus. One up and coming sponsored by KB who gets our undivided support financially and practically for the season. There are so many of the guys who race and race well on a shoe string budget that it becomes a bit difficult to spread the support.

Once that racer is on his way we support the next one.

Errr I dont really think that'd work, everyone would want to support someone different. That and it would be hard to support one for a season and then move on to another. What would that do for the racer? Give them a bike and expectations they can suddenly no longer afford?
What I think we need is a good system of getting money/help to the racers. Riff Raff started something with her 'who wants to help the racers' thread, but these people then need to get out and meet the racers somehow and get involved. Also maybe a list somewhere of all the KBers who are involved in racing, what they race, where, and how fast they go, then people can decide who they want to support, or meet....

the point i was trying to make with this thread is that it doeesnt have to cost much or even anything to go support your racers.. take sammies to the track and pass them out among the KB racers, bottles of frozen water..McD's vouchers etc..

I think the idea is -it doesn't matter how big or how small a contribution you feel you are able to make. Every little bit helps.
As Sarge said frozen bottled water.-say ya passed bottles out to 5 KB racers--Total cost maybee $15.00 but ya have no idea how much that can be apreciated.
One point I would make is having people you can count on all the time.
That is invaluable -Knowing there is gonna be a teamate there to help ya
-Hres the stuff Our team manager does for us.
1) lap times --its all BS and hype if ya cant quantify it
2) Measuring/recording gas quantities.
3) Tyre pressures
4) general bike checkover
5)visor cleaning
6)tool layout
Our manager has a few clues so they do other stuff too but ya get my point .
See it doesn't need to be rocket science so dont be afraid.

Yep.... now we gotta combine that with Riff Raff's thread, and make sure the two groups meet up..... For drinks, at trackdays, whatever.....

KB refreshments crew.... why not?? Get a chilly bin and load it up, then give stuff out to KB racers next raceday/trackday....
