I guess when it comes to twisty bits of road like in the pics, you sometimes come to a section where you have a hundred or so metres visibility through the twisty section and just don't see the point of dogmatically staying to the left of the centre line...in a sense the whole road becomes yours during that enjoyable moment of riding! (not advocating dangerous driving here btw)
Personally I would rather have a more twistie road. No sense making it straighter even with clear visability for a good distance. Just more fun for me to actually take the corner. Or is he worried he may have to lean the bike over too far?

Started out with a bin which remained the theme of the day ending, after 5 with a ride home in an ambulance for one enthusiastic young rider. Not too much damage done though I suspect Texmo may be tripping off airport metal detectors for a few years. First time for me and I had a great time and (for those that went home) we didn't get wet, The sun was just right, the road was in good shape and the quiche in coromandel was just great. :slap:
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

    Awesome days ridding alright!
Very eventful with all the misshaps
Big thanks goes out to the local cop in Tairua and the guys( the keen ones still doing the full ride) for helping out with Texmo's bike, he was very unlucky. has anybody heard from him at all?
Trust you all got home alright, I continued on to whangamata and had dinner with my family before heading home later that night.
Got home feeling fucked with a sore ass and oil light showing as i chewed through a whole tank of oil- just the way any good ride should end! :-) excuse the puns.

we managed to contact Texmo last night, he is at Theams and he is ok, last night he was going for more x-rays but at that point, they had found no broken bones, just a bit bruised and batterd. he most likly is gonna get out of hospital today if he hasn't been discharged already. Don't know much else at this point but i'm sure he'll be online in a couple of days.

he lost his cell phone during the crash, along with his wallet by the sounds of it (scavenger hunt!), so it'll just ring away. Tex called me this morning, he's out and about. Hairline fracture to the wrist and a few bruises and whiplash, but still in one piece. He can fill us in tho, but he's fine all things considered.
