I'm with Cartman on exterminating gingas. Least you've got an excuse for being a weenie.

Thanks. I speed tested it last night and it seemed to hold, but I was still a little worried this morning so I wired it just to be sure.

Which reminds me, I need to call my panelbeater re: respray...

I assume this is some sort of opaque licence plate safety cover?

    No - it's the plate.

I totally sympathise with you there – me and my FXR150 struggle to make the open road speed limit if there is any kind of head wind or uphill. If you don’t mind revving the guts out of it (not redlining it, though) then in 5th it can often do a lot better than in top. Blatting over the ‘takas, though, I can assure you that I am the limiting factor, not the bike! It’s a great learner’s bike. I’m now dreaming of getting my full licence next year and upgrading to something that can keep up with the traffic on the motorway… like a SV650S, perhaps…

Yeah, it definately accelerates better in fifth but I was redlining it so I had to change to 6th, which got me another 15kph before I almost redlined it in 6th. Might clean out her air filter this weekend. She needs some new oil. Thats next on the list. That damn list keeps getting longer!!

The hills were great fun. No props with the bike there. I could have easily pushed harder than I did. There was only 1 corner I pushed too far.

It will be a while before I get my full so I'll have to make do till then. Anyone now some cheap performance mods for an FXR?

    Cheers

BTW welcome. If you ever want to go for a ride sometime, I'm keen for all the experience I can get
