    Car people v bike people

I'm also on the MX5 list and it struck me that there's a huge difference in attitude between the two.
On kiwibiker, we bitch, argue, take the piss and generally have a laugh. But the other site is so serious, mention anything other than MX5's and someone complains that it's off - subject. No - one argues or even gives an opinion about anything but the cars.
I guess bikers are a lot more philosophical, or just plain stroppy.

LOL- you have some guts telling everyone here that you are on a cage forum as well as our beloved KB!

But honestly, I have really enjoyed myself here so far, despite being blackballed so often. I think the key to why I have endured is that I really love motorcycling. There is a common bond on this site that keeps us focussed on bikes regardless of the evreryday faults we as human beings find with one another.

This site is special because of the people who contribute. Nothing more and nothing less.

I also belong to another non bike site,Much the same thing applys there.
The talk is mostly kept very much to the main subject, and everybody watches what they say so as not to cause insult or create an arguement.
As a result few ever crack a joke or make an off tap statement in case they get their head bit off.I much prefer the give an take style of this site.
Some of the jokes told here would get you banned for life from the other one I belong to.Mind you I do wonder at times how some of the police officers on this site view some things that are said here.
Ahh well it's all water off this little black ducks back.

Dunno why there's no bitching on the MX5 forum Lou,it's a girls car so I'd a thought they'd have their nails out - what colour do you prefer?

Us real guys on the Pajero forum just swap tales of bikes who dump when we pull out on them, bikes that didn't see the corner because of black smoke ,and a daily list of who made the biggest queue on the passing lanes.User names are on our spare wheel covers - I'm Tweety Bird, you might of seen me around, another guy is the Road Runner, and there is also one with Back Off on his.Give us a wave if you see us!

Seriously folks (who,me?!!) most of the forums I'm on are tech type forums(engineering) and what a bunch of touchy pricks they are,you can't critisise anyone, but if you post an incorrect statment they are on you like a ton of bricks.I hardly post on them, just use the imformation.

I like the ADVrider forums, they give each other hell but suport and give good info too,and I'm happy to see this forum coming along this way as well.Kiwi's have an excelent scense of humour and love to poke fun at each other - hard for it to come out electronicly, but we are all getting better.

    It's an American hunting site.
Don't ever question their bill of rights when it comes to fire arms.
Don't ever question their military actions.
Don't ever tell them anything is better in any place other then America.
And don't EVER tell George Bush jokes.
As I was told,This Guy was going to come to NZ,track me down, rip my arm off an beat me to death with it.

It's simple, there's everything from computer geeks to truckies to chef's ridding bikes. just like arseholes, all of us have an opinion, and a lot conflict. At the end of the day, we all get on two wheels and ride off into the sunset. I'm on a couple of music/scene forum's and there is a lot of different opinions, but if you say one thing about the core bands that's against the public docturn, you soon know about it.

It's a known fact that red MX's are fastest. I can't say I saw any posts about hair care or the best place to get your nails done. And there were a couple of surprised bikers through the twisty's when I had the car.
BTW, Motu. When are you going to paint little bikes on the door of the Wank, err sorry, Pajero. Like the fighter pilots do.

I'm in a bit of a quandary over that - like can I use previous ''kills'' or do they only apply to this vehicle.I'd hate to loose my previous best score.

Of all the vehicles I get to drive every day the MX5 always leaves me impressed,it's like it was built for me alone, closest thing to a 4 wheel motorcycle to me.

I'm in Celica forum and Supra forum.....and RC Helicopter and Fishtank forums as well while we're at it.....
Celica cagers mostly are teenagers and talk about this bodykit that bodykit.
Supra owners are mostly rich yankee bastards and talk about turbo this and turbo that and engine blowups.
RC Helicopter forums mostly talk about training and how to do this and that....face it, flying those damn thing is difficult and expensive. They repeat the trivial how-to about more than hundred times I think.
Fishtank owners are (uhm....excuse me) mostly middle aged family guys and talk about their own experience.....huge amount of ego here and there
And never I have seen a forum that has much apathy and criticism on the government as Kiwibikers Dare to be Different!!!

    P.S.
But I never been on Honda cage forum

You can put up your accumulated score.
Fighter pilots with big scores tended to get through a lot of planes!
(how many Wank- Pajeros have you got?)

Me olds have just done the same thing, buying a near new mx5 to replace their bikes, cos they say they are getting too old for motorcycling (65 and 58ish i think they are)

As far as i can tell they say exaclty the same thing and are really enjoying the car as a 4 wheel motorcycle
