    KBr's and the "Guest Machine"!

Behold the KBr's and guest rider Quick Mick and his fabulous machine the KTM950. Boy was I impressed by that thing.

    Sounded great with matching performance.
I never even saw his dust! Just the little suggestions of a few "Oh Shit" moments left in the gravel here and there and he was gone! :spudwhat:
Who was that masked man? The KTM is in the middle of the group. Pic taken on Te Akatarawa Stn road. Cheers John.

    Mighty honda!

Was a pretty good rally, met a few kiwibikers- Rashika, Speedygirl (who I have already met) and dangerous. Also met Farque again.

Put the mighty honda in the bike show, got runner up best rat, would have thought I would have taken it out, but there was a mighty suzuki FA50, that took it out, but mine was way better- no front guard, bikini fairing held on by cable ties, excessive use of cable ties, 100 mph tape and insulation tape, some pants cut up and used as a seat cover, crash damage, and no warrent or rego. I guess it was the new tires which got me.

Was definatly a LONG and boring ride down there, as went straight down, inland is fuck all better on the way back, you just get about 2 kilometres of corners, and they aint that tight either.

Left my keys in the bike near the bonfire on saturday night and some cunt stole it, took them off him and told him to fuck off, would have smacked him, but I aint very good at fighting, it was alright though, because I found a whole group of honda CG riders from christchurch! They went and grabbed their CG's and we went and did some mean donuts and burnouts wheelies, fuck it sounded awsome with 3 thumpers going nuts with glowing exhausts!

Also got a nice lass to stay the night with me which was good, she rode a mean FXR150, a bit faster than my rapid road rocket though, but thats what you get though, after a few more mods to my powerful honda CG and she'll be hussing.

I was really stoked about winning the runner up rat in the bike competetion as I got a $10 petrol voucher! FUCK YEAH! This allowed me to get home as I had spent all my money on beer.

Bike only broke down a couple of times, which was pretty good, first the overflow tube in the float bowl of the carby broke off, making all the petrol piss out of the float bowl onto the ground, was wondering why my petrol consumption was so high! But I got a bit of vacuum hose, jammed that on the drain nipple, cut a bit off a tent peg and jammed that in the vacuum hose and she was right as rain.

Secondly was a bit of a safety issue, the nut which stops the swing arm bolt from coming out vibrated loose and fucked off somewhere, so I just wrapped a bit of insulation tape around the thread and it was pretty good, on the way back though, stopped off at mitre ten to see if they had a nut, of course they only had a course thread so that wouldn't work. Luckely they were really helpful there and suggested using a split pin and washer. They had a drill and bit so I drilled a hole in the bolt, put the washer on and put a 4mm split pin though, only costed me 30 cents and was mint as! This left me with $1.75 so I could go to maccas and get a hamburger, managed to convice the girl to give it to me for $1.75 insted pf $1.80! That was great.

Went back inland with the CG gang, one CG was two up WITH luggage, which must have been a bit of a mission, they are not that great for touring by yourself, I think they are designed for zipping around hong kong or somthing, not 2 person touring, they're pretty economical, got back to christchurch on 6 litres no worries.

Was a great time though, would do it again any time.

However...... Speedie was now starting to disbehave, not like Shaz, Rashika's mate that was on a B12, she had been seen snogging on the dance floor with an unknown bloke and had disappeared....... you guessed it
Speedie however was just coming on form, she wondered off to get some tucker... came back from the food tent and said "here ya are lads.... eat up it was all free!"
It seems that the fella that was behind the counter (now with huge dumbarse smile) had said to SG....'show us ya tits and its free' :spudwhat:

Back to Speedie... well FDM was getting a tad hyped and was bumping a couple of pissed nutes that were just standing on the dance floor smoking a hooter.
They were starting to take offence so SG stepped in and swapped places with him... well LOL in the next few moments, the pissed grump, had a very sore foot, brused rib and damn near KO'ed.... SG kept on dancing
(mental note: dont fuck with SG!)
Me misbehave??!!! Never!! and what free food???? must have been someone else
But what an awesome 1st rally!!! The only downside is that I went looking for my tent and it took about 30 mins to find the damn thing!!!
So I thought it was best to stay put when I finally located it!!
Thanks guys for making my 1st rally a memory to keep!! I look forward to the next one with great anticipation

Ahhh! at least I got to see you then - I do remember a young lass sitting side saddle on a FXR150 in the bike show with some young fella (presumably you) talking to her. Good bloody effort on getting the bike to and from the show. My bike didn't really have a chance at the rat bike with your one there.

I missed seeing you (not) misbehaving but I did see the two young males beating their chests at each other and wrestling to establish who would have mating privileges.
Probably best that you didn't get up on the stage for the wet t-shirt if you have that effect on blokes!

Good photos and story there Toddy. The Buell and the Guzzi look strangely familiar. Your last comment is a little disturbing "So that was March Hare 2007" - you done next years rally (the one that may or may not happen) already?

Off the Rails is tempting, very tempting.
