And bring a rock-drill and 'Power-Gel" - the rocks make it eff'n hard to put the tent-pegs in at some spots.

And plenty of Aspirin cos the morning sun can be pretty damn bright............not to mention the Harleys starting to warm up at 5am - why is that, can't they start later in the morning or something?

I figure its just because they want to sneak out without anyone knowing. Its a pity that they have to wake up the whole campsite while they do it.
    Time to ride

Ya know, I've often wondered about that. I make sure not to put my tent too close to the damn things when I arrive, but bugger me if there isn't one idling away next to me DAMNED early on Sunday morning. And they seem to take Soooooo long to warm up ... well that's how it seems anyway when I'm not feeling too flash on a rally sunday morning.

How does it go again? Mates don't let mates buy Harley's isn't it

But seriously can I see myself getting something like a Harley Ferguson one day, although it'll probably be a jap one as Harley prices are exorbitant, and that day is some way off yet as well. They're OK for those that like 'em I guess, horses for courses and so on. But in the meantime it's good to make fun of the Harley owners, always guaranteed of a reaction

    I'm in

Option 2 I reckon. From Cave to Hunter were you thinking of the back (shingle) roads or going via SH1?

How could you even suggest option 1 ? (Actually if it's pissing down with rain then maybe but we aren't in Hamilton or Auckland so it won't be raining)
