By the way this looks like a good site, I only heard about it recently. It's good to see a forum with good local support. Hard to believe the number of posts some of you guys/gals have.
The Off the Rails is run by Deep South HOG top little rally I think it is 1st weekend April, I was talking to the bullitin ed at the Nat Hog rally and cant quite remember the exact date but I do know that it is early this year, might go via Old Dunstan Trail. BTW Far queue have a look at this http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...highlight=kiwi Its a little ride I went on with my old DR650 last winter

Over the Lindis Pass, turn off at Omarama, down the Waitaki Valley to Kurow, over the river and on to the rally for me.

Count me in. But I am intending leaving (from Hororata/Glenroy) after lunch Saturday and probably go via Rakaia gorge to Geraldine then possibly cut out to SH1 at Temuka. Will be looking out for the KB gaggle. Has anyone thought about getting the KB banner?

Am looking forward to this - big rally, haven't managed much distance on the GS in the last few weeks and it looks like sonny Jimmie (and mates -Tyger Tung are you coming?) will be there which will be a first.

Did I read somewhere that Scumdog is not coming up for the Hare. It just won't be the same
I have just found out that they have removed the word gullible from the dictionary

OK, I know where you are now, not far from me at all. I assume the ride down you guys are planning is on the Saturday, in which case I'll track you down when we get back from our day ride. We'll be going down to the site Fri after work.

Well now that my bike is going again, I'll be there. I'll even make a serious entry for the rat bike comp. Barring any grotesquely disfigured bikes, I should clean that categorey up pretty good I recon. Man if only I could've kept the smoke blowing lawn mower condition it had for a bit longer.

Looking forward to seeing you guys down there.

I've had a change of plans. I'm heading off early and are going through to Omarama to meet up with some undesirable character for lunch and a ride to the rally site. Catch up with you all there (one certain bike is quite easy to spot [hi G ] so you won't be to hard to find).

I'll do the ride back with you all just so you don't feel left out.
