Total thread hijack. Not that I mind.

Changed my mind though, gonna sell the FXR instead, the NSR is too fast and coo'. Then buy some other cheap sac while I slowly build up the extreme custom NSR100.

    Total.

    Kickaha and engine rebuilding.

Kickaha's engine rebuilds are like talk CHEAP. At least the next sub standard Suzuki rebuild is using Honda quality parts that my friend is a large step in the correct direction away from the darkside, we can teach you the way of the Jedi. If all else fails Dangerous can come to the rescue AGAIN.

Custom nsr100 sounds like something that OCC off Discovery channel would knock up (high bars and fwd controls). Sorry about the thread hijack but some things just need to be told.

Course ya dont, Yesterday I raced both my buckets against a top rider on a FXR.
1st my worked MB in a home built replica..... well down the straights the FXR still pulled away but slowly, I was clocked at 140-150k, but I cought up in the corners providing I dident stuf a gear change up.
2nd my CB125T... this race it was wetish so the FXR rider backed off alowing me to pass several times CB top speed 130-140k now on a dry track I'd say the FRX would blitz me, but due to good handling I'd do ok in the tight shit.

Hey lads, anyone know of a ruling against using "competition engine parts?" Asking around about suitable pistons for the NSR100 project guy seemed to think there might be a ruling against using a competition specific piston, I can't see why there would be but if anyone knows or can tell me where the rules are in that monstrous bloody MNZ rulebook, let me know. Cheers.

No, you can't use competition engine parts! Otherwise you could build something like this and and heres a NSR100 for ya to work towards!
The forst is a CR80 in a RS125 rolling chassis, the other is a Jap spec NS80 witha 100cc big bore kit.

Chapter 24. Lookin' at the amendments first is a good idea. And "engines must be derived from non-competition engines" but there's "no restriction on the make, type or design of carburettor, ignition, exhaust, piston, cam, valve springs or cooling system except for class eligibility."

So I think the piston is okay, but is the NSR a non-competition engine? I'll email MNZ.

Now won't that be a great race class, 80cc MX's and a race frame. - They race them over in the UK (young'in - up to 17) - maybe we could drop the two stroke limit to 85cc vs the 4's at 150. - now that MX parts are soooo cheep.

yea they should allow 85cc mx bike engines, but, thay have to be stock standard not modified that would be very cool. Make it alot easier to get a compeditive engine in the racing without having to spend lots of money and time to make an old one go fast

Yeah that's what I thought RG. Have emailed MNZ, waiting for reply, but I think plans may have to take yet another drastic change.

Anyone got a CB125 they wanna offload?

shessh taco!! you change your mind worse than a woman!! but if you do build a bucket i would use the NSR frame, it would handle quite well.
From what i hear, they run the same geometry as a CBR 250 of the similar year, and they handle really well good luck tho
