well on the way home on the push bike i was doing a mono down the street (i can do a 200metre one now ) but i didnt realize that there was a cop behind me(i was on the side of the road and couldnt hear him behind me) any way he procceds to pull me up with the siren and lights (bling wank factor)

    and procceds to say

    HIM

"that kind of riding is dangerous and is against the law"

    ME

"oh really i never thought of that" (in back of mind thinking tosser)

    HIM

"yes and i could do you for dangerous riding!!"

    ME

"WTF on a pushie!!! you gotta be kidding me!!"

    HIM

but cause im such a good fella im going to let you off"

    ME

"ok cool" (not caring what the hell this dumbarse is saying)

    HIM

"but i want you to let down your tires so you will think twice about doing it again"

    ME

"psssh get a life, it would take me a an hour to walk home frome here"

    HIM

"yea well.....(me riding off into nearest park so he cant follow me?

i herd him yell something at me as i darted into the park and didnt stop peddleing till i got home.

talk to loosebruce... pushbike mono legend, and he might know a thing or two about runners on pushbikes, but that might just be urban myth.

IANAL but IIRC, a law was passed recently that allowed riders of pushbike to be charged with speeding and other traffic offences...

    Mono

Should have told him it was a unicycle with an accessory wheel. A unicycle is considered a wheelbarrow in local body vehicle descriptions!

    That. Is. Pathetic.

If I were a cop, I'd fucking clap, whoop whoop the lights and sound and write you a medal ++ a pat on the back.

err actually you are on the road, like any other road user. He has a right to pull you over and tell you not to mono on public roads, just like he has a right to pull over some guy on a minimoto pulling monos up the road...

He was a bit over the top in telling you to let your tyres down tho!!

Well if you're using the road then technically you can get busted for it. Pretty anal thou. What time was it that you got pulled?

If he asked me to let my tyres down I'd say sure, but you can give me a lift home. I've got to get home quick see, NYPD Blue is on I think this is the one where they shoot that cop for stopping some bloke for some pointless shit.

they have to catch you and identify you within 10mins or you get off, you can be done for anything a guy at work got done for speeding last week

    On the first point, Bullshit.
On the second, correct - a pushie rider on a public road is subject to the same laws as any motor vehicle driver (now tell me why pushie riders don't get busted for riding a bike across a pedestrian crossing).

If cops insist on stopping people for stupid things then people will start to lose what little faith they have in the police force.
