yea i understand that im on the road but it was going down a dead nd street with mabey one car on it (cop)
it was worth a laugh running tho lol
im such a little rebel, but they better get used to it cause i wont stop on the m-bike very often either now (no licence, no reg, wof yea i know BAD but if they werent so freking stingy and try to scam so much money out of you i would get all that stuff) soon the cops wont have anything to to cause as soon as they put the lights on, the person thay are persuing will hoon off

    police-- dont ya love em

Meh, you must have gay cops. Around here I ride past them on the footpath with no helmets, bunny-hopping and wheelying all over the hizzle. They don't care, thankfully.

On the second, correct - a pushie rider on a public road is subject to the same laws as any motor vehicle driver (now tell me why pushie riders don't get busted for riding a bike across a pedestrian crossing).
why whats the laws via chasing someone doing a runner then?

i herd from my brother that the cop cannot exceed double the limit eg 100kph in 50kph area and 200kph in a 100kph area but i doubt that it is true

but i dont see why a cop should be allowed to do that sort of speed as well, cause they now become a danger.

its like two little brothers one swears "shit" then the other goes to the mum and says "MUM, johnny said SHIT"

now they both did somethin wrong- as do the police all the time!!!

I'm patiently waiting for the first police officer to post in this thread and laugh his/her arse off reading that. Sorry mate, but that statement ain't true.

Cops do whatever they like. But I think the wording that the comms call at the start of the pursuit is something like "Do you understand that if there is an unjustified risk to the public that you are to abandon pursuit immediately" or something like that.

Cops abandon pursuits under two circumstances only:

1: They accurately call the chase in to comms (I've heard it happen once), where they actually do report the true speed the vehicle was travelling, the true traffic conditions, the true antics the vehicle is up to, the true side of the road their on, etc, AND comms thinks it's too dangerous AND the cop actually obeys comms.

    2: They lose you.

No. 2 is FAR more likely... as I say, I've heard 1 happen once. I won't comment on how many times I've heard 2 happen.

There are so many urban legends around about what the cops can and can't do. Up until a few weeks ago I thought they couldn't spike bikes, but that turned out to be false too. And I KNOW they don't pull out unless they lose you. So when you run, run fast, keep a cool head, don't push it beyond YOUR limits, and get the hell outta there. But remember also, if you get chased and you lose them, slow it down as much as possible as soon as possible. Reason being - you don't want someone ringing the cops telling them that some bastard just buzzed them and their three pre-schoolers at 200k in a 50 zone, then turned down such and such street - cos suddenly the cops know where you went again!

yea i learnt that one the hard way on my first 'run'

got away easy enough (cop didnt know the area-i think) but was still riding like an idiot trying to get home only to be chased by another cop.

Lucky i lost them both and have not herd about is since (a year ago) i was still riding the same bike around till i sold it the other day.
That was my only chase on that bike. luckily

had one on my FXR 150, that was hard to get away as it tops out at about 150ish!!!

I really need to stop being an idiot

    All psyclists should be booked for anything the cop can find because;
    A/ They deserve it (pysclists)
B/ It keeps the cops occupied.
    Speed doesn't kill people.
    Stupidity kills people.

but the cops SHOULD be occupied tring to find who is the kiddy fiddler down the same street, not taking half an hour to scam some money off a 16 yr old kid!!
