Ha! so did we but I remember beating you guys a few times.....Particularly in the triathlons....

Oh and yes, you can get mountain biking shorts with padding. But why not get used to wearing the lycra - you wouldnt want to look out of place on a group cycle ride would ya??

I've just started getting into a bit of road cycling. Realised by pushing my bike around the pits at pukekohe just how unfit I am. The rather scary thing (well at least to me) is that im really enjoying it, never was one for exercise but dont mind this.
I think the phrase rhymes with "Clucking Bell" - Blackadder

*edit* actually, some cyclists are their own worst enemy.... they do ride like frikkin idiots. Feel free to 'correct' those.
The rest of us do in fact own the road, so piss off mongrel cage drivers!
I'd prefer to be 2 abreast and safe than 1 wide and having car drivers clip my elbow as they try and squeeze past in the same lane... But then I'm normally doing 25-35kmh, so hardly slow... Get over it...

(err that is 25-35kmh when I'm fit.... Havent ridden for months - no room for a bike on the back of the bike over here....)

I never did triathlons... thats my excuse

what a buzz tho, a centimetre or two off the wheel in front... yeah, I use wellgo I think, but look is compatible (cleats are look). They even have a nifty wrench release, once I forgot to un-click at a traffic light, and when on my way to falling down, I pulled hard in panic, and was able to save myself
