    Nicko Race Update

    Hi guys,

Sorry been a while since I've posted. Racing has been pretty quiet in winter & new job has kept me real busy & away from the computer (cheers lion red!). I've been doing a fair bit of off-roading & mountain biking to help with my race fitness which I notice helped heaps at the latest meetings. Had 2 race meetings recently, first at Taupo at the Pacific Club round 1 and last at Auckland Club round 2 at Puke. I'm still on the K4 bike for this season, I got a new motor out of the states in the winter after an "incident" with the last one & turns out it's fairly slow. The new motor is mint mechanically but am thinking it's letting me down due to a combination of the motor having a bad fuel map in it & it being retarded to meet strict US emission laws (some would argue it's the rider that's retarded). My pace was pretty uninspiring at Taupo & Puke so not even gonna mention my results but none the less am really looking forward to the nats & am working frantically to try to find a few more ponies to try & keep up with the new models.

Anyway, Pukekohe for the first round of the nationals next weekend, Manfield the following weekend then Wanganui Boxing Day & the South Island rounds in January. Am looking forward to getting out there, there'll be some big fields and we should see some spectacular racing. Good news is I'll be racing a K3 GSXR 1000 as well as the 600 at the street meetings so am looking forward to getting out there with the big bikes!

Thanks as always to Colemans Suzuki, SBS Pads, FFM Helmets, Neo Gloves, Spool Leathers, Fredco Motors, SDV International Logistics, Wairau Paint Centre & all you KB guys for your support. Hopefully can keep you guys updated with some good results over the season!

    Seeya at the track.

Keep us posted man. Sorry I didn't make it out to the last one but the 21st the night before kinda ran late..... or early depending on how you look at it. Hopefully i'll get out to puke for the next one.

p.s. i just purchanced a tastey new bit for me bike. Oh and how much was it for you to give me a hand with the forks??
Lump lingered last in line for brains,

It's a hard road but a fun one. I've been following your riding from the sidelines in Taupo and Puke and yes I did notice the significant drop in pace.

I hope you'll be sorted for Puke though. I won't be racing in the Nats but I will be at the Cemetary Circuit for boxing day on my 600 in F2.

Can't wait to see how you go on your 1000!
