thinking about going away for a couple of days in the cage around somewhere.. but it'd be cool for a trailer tent, but I can't find any to buy (and they're expensive for a one-off) and you can't rent them. So has anyone got one that I could borrow/lend off for a few days over the xmas break?

I know someone who has one of those things, but they are in the south island...
Why not rig up a tarp off the side of the car with some poles.... and sleep out in the night and enjoy looking at the stars.

the back seats and mattress in the back is looking like a good back up option.. the south island is a bit of a drive
