    Back on topic................

I made a boo boo filtering a long queue at lights this arvo & misjudged a gap.

There i sat pinned between two rows of cars, mirrors touching mirrors both sides. Was about to pull my left mirror in so i could squeeze on through when the car to my left pulled left slightly to let me through.

I felt like a real twat... I gave him a wave as i went on my way... but i felt dirty.

Shit happens, we are only human.

Don't be disheartened bosslady we all gotta learn somehow.

Except some of us learn to not fuck up in the first place instead of chalking it up to, "shit happens".

No excuse for clipping shit while riding, other than being a terrible rider.

Sigh... you're right... I'm going to go get my bike out of the garage, put it on the driveway and set it on fire now... all hope is lost.

You need to practise your slow speed skills. Filtering is the only way to travel in crawling traffic. There will be enough room for you to pass between the cars I promise. You should be able to pootle along at 20kph without thinking about it. That takes less skills than 5 kph and stopped etc. Take the bull between the horns and try to filter through the cars if they are going slower than 30 kph. Watch your mirrors for bikers that you may be holding up though.

I made a boo boo overtaking a truck on the way home tonight. Trusted the cars in front to keep on going once they had passed the truck...

Nope, got hung out to dry alongside a logging truck, with oncoming traffic and my right hand wheels running on the yellows

I am really going to have to talk to my boss about where he parks so I can ride my bike to work

Here's a tip to make it easier. If you split towards the traffic rather than in the same direction you can see the driver better and get an indication of whether they are going to change lanes or do something else. And on the plus side they can't get your number or turn around and chase you so you can knock mirrors off left, right and well, left and right.

But that's what I was trying to do in the first place

    haha

Would have been lucky if they were going 10kmh for a lot of that. When they got up to 30/40 I got back in the lane though. I have definitely been practicing my slow riding "skills" some stuff I learnt at NASS, going slower than 1st gear, didn't even know such a thing existed! Still practicing, but getting much, much better.

what a load of shit..terrible rider? You are going to judge a riders whole skill set on one fuckup? Shit man.....you have set a standard that only those that have NEVER made a fuck up can claim success.

I'd put it down to me being a shitty rider and that I'd need to learn my limits and learn to become a better rider for those situations.

Bloody brilliant, I like this idea. Why didn't I think of it first?!

Now.. how the fuck can you learn your limits if you never test yourself on certain aspects of your riding to determine said limits? Genuine (not really) question, cause you're not really making a hunk 'o sense.
