    Dunedin BRONZ Toy Run

Mrs V and I decided to take part in our first BRONZ toy run today. The showery weather held off for the event, which was apparently the biggest turn-out ever.

A quick run from Dunedin, alongside the harbour to Careys Bay, to the first rendezvous. And what a turn out! An estimated 250 bikes of every description, from a Nifty-Fifty through to a Triumph Rocket 3. We met up with Phaedrus at Careys Bay on his Hyosung Comet.

Then then run back into Dunedin to Logan Park for the next rendezvous, where a police escort was waiting to smooth the run along George Street to the Octagon.

Photos attached, with photo one at Careys Bay, and the other two at Logan Park.

Nice to catch up with Phaedrus again, and a great opportunity to eyeball a huge variety of bikes.

And of course all done for a worthy cause!

The footage on TV1 showed the bikes arriving at the Octagon, and luckily was filmed just after I restarted the Virago, and rode out of shot. I stalled in the slow creep forward, and the bugger was reluctant to start again (took three attempts). Could have been very embarrassing if caught on camera..........

Yeah, top coverage by TV, not just the 30 second wonder type of thing.

Looked very impressive on the tele. Good to see bikes getting some positive coverage!
