The only item or recognition of all those awards was the order of the garter immediately behind his desk.
His nephew Stephen was reasonably handy at the rugby thing too.
Actually, reminds me - he gave my young bloke an All Blacks jersey that he had swapped at the end of a test match, when Matthew was much younger.
Number 18 AB in a test that Stephen 'Skylab' Cutler played - anybody suggest who's it could have been? (nobody can so far)

Only girls blouses that can't grow any make statements like yours - in which case I suppose a razor lasts about 6 months with your efforts at facial hair anyway!![]()

Contact the Rugby Union organisation here in Auckland... they will have a list of all players.... even the reserves in every game played by the All Blacks.Originally Posted by Big Dave
Number 18 is a Reserve player - but it could be a well known player as well.
That jersey could be worth a bit in a few years time...
Is it the new type jersey or the older style?
Nice of you to leave out 'old' but otherwise good visualisationOriginally Posted by Big Dave

Im trying to remember when they changed over to the newer type jerseys...It was at a world cup... 1986 was the old style jersey's and David Kirk was the Captain and we won that series.
They then played in South Africa and Michael Jones played in the one game and he was in the older style jersey and then in the UK 1996 - Jona Lomu was in that game and he was wearing the newer style jersey... they had changed over then.
So it was either during or prior to 1996 that the older jerseys were worn.
I hope that helps to elimate the years for you..
I bet you didn't even know, I used to be once a "knight" but now I only manage it once a "year"![]()
