    Political Correctness

Yes it gets up my nose. The latest I take issue with is the safety jingle "Drive to the conditions..... when they change reduce your speed" Now how politically uncorrect is this! Why do you need to reduce your speed when the conditions improve? Surely they improve as much as they deteriorate. This is one example of where political correctness is required but lacking.

I just ignore it...otherwise you'll waste you energy arguing with pretenous stupid lemmings....and they will have boobs...and there kids will play soccer instead of rugby...they will recycle...drive a people mover or SUV...instead of popping around to a friends for coffee...they will first ring their friend on their cellular telephone....and meet at a cafe miles away....for a $20 coffee a muffin...and brag about the wonderfully family picnic that the family went on in the weekend...which secretly everyone else in the family hated apart from the dog...

So if you're travelling safely along at 100 km/h in the rain, can you speed up when the rain stops?
    Speed doesn't kill people.

No - because that'd be the conditions changing... which means you reduce your speed... and when it rains again, you reduce it further - then night falls... and if you're not stationary you will be allowed... nay EXPECTED... to stop.

    It's all perfectly sensible really..

Yea, I thought "driving to the conditions" means it is now legal to drive 130kph on the straight wide motorway when it's bright and sunny? :spudwhat:

I think the sign is for the HWP cops. Remember, "70 is not a target".
They are so occupied with quotas and need reminding, I guess?

A good point... I want to be at the top of the Bombays, early on clear Sunday morning and try the RF out at top speed in the middle lane on an empty motorway.

The middle lane? The grassy bumpy thing between the north and south lanes?

Edit: Oh. No, never mind, I get it now...

I agree those signs are weird. I saw them when I was in the Taupo district and thought WTF? :spudgrr:

Now, that is not driving to the condition. Imagine the handling and stopping distance you require at that speed even on perfect asphalt.

But if it is a Honda it would be ok....

i rang the radio station up and told them to shut that stupid fucking "drive to the conditions, when they change reduce your speed" up. The guy that i was talking to (i have no idea) was cool and he said he hated it as does every normal politically 'incorrect' person would.

Why dont we all just boot politics in the gonads, and do what the fuck we like!! .

Seriously though good government is necessary for a stable economy and society to flourish. Unfortunately we have not had one for so long no-one remembers what this looks like!

Who is the National Member of PC?

I want them and or ACT's Anti PC brigade to print up a bunch of stickers saying "This is PC BULLSHIT". I'd buy them and happily start a campaign where PC crap get's dotted. Sorta like the crosses on the side of the road.

Let's have a PC FREE DAY. Let people live in a PC free world, just for a bit to experience it

Let's burn some bras! Ladies - line up - I'll help you out of them...
