Thats about the size of it. We become more and more like the USA where if you try to help someone out, they can sue you if they did not like the way you did it. If I stop for a MVA and say Im a RN and something goes wrong, which they do. Then I can be sued. However if I just say I know forst aid, then Im told Im sweet. PC is fucking the world and Motu is right - TOO MANY of us love the right to sue - and so these signs are put there as CYA devices.
If we could just say "bad luck, don't do THAT again" and move on we wouldn't have to be faced with all the 'Warning" "Danger" etc signs ( the talismans against getting sued)
PC is just there to give the weak a voice.
