looking at the ride I think i will take out the auckland section and do the hamilton to poeroa section instead. via river road of course.

Glad to hear you are healing Kasper. Good luck getting the GSXR250 (good little bikes those) up and running.
Tried to post that notice reusk to Dawn, but can not find any of the posts I did on Sunday morning (not even the new thread)! There seems to be a phantom Kiwi Biker Forum stuck in a different time zone (or a parallel universe), because when I logged on it still had me on the VFR not the CBR! Go figure!

also what times and distances are we talking aout here?
Mid October each year - starts and finishes at a camping ground in Turangi, but the Rusty Nuts Motorcycle Club varies the route each year. The distance is 1600km (1000 miles) and you have 24 hours to complete it in. It's not a race, just a battle with what's in your head!Originally Posted by kasper
You can find info and probably an entry form on http://www.rustynuts.co.nz/
The attachment is my own personal experience of the ride last year. You learn more about yourself and your machine in 24 hours on that ride than a whole year of normal riding.

Geoff
