Damn right Zed! Especially when cruising the lake front in Taupo during summer, you can perve hardazz at all the beautiful women when the place is going off...
(mental note: save up for tinted visor by Christmas 2004)

Thanks for the replys - I'm happy to see so many who are real on the net and life.I think talking on the net has been tainted by the stories of 14 or 84 yr olds being someone they are not.On a common interest board like this I don't think it could happen - but we'll keep a watch out eh?

You are right erik, and it never occoured to me - I am different to everyone I meet...we adjust ourselves to every situation - I may try to chat up a cute blonde, but wouldn't use the same approach to a gang member!

So all the different me's are just facets of the complex being I am - and here's me thinking I was a simpleton.Meeting Jackrat held no surprises for me,I had none for him,so as others say,the personality comes out anyway....if we have one that is!

As for tinted visors I normally swap to a tinted visor for summer but the last two bloody summers I haven't bothered because on average the days have been dull too often so I've left the clear visor on my helmet.

An interesting thread you started here Motu.

When I joined the site, I called myself my real name as I didn't really know what the site was about, and didn't post for a few months.

In hindsight, I would have still called myself my real name, as I (climbing onto the high moral ground here) would like to think that I wouldn't say anything to/about anyone anonomously that I wouldn't say to their face.

The philosophy I try my best to live by (I am only human, after all) is to live and let live, and to never knowingly do anything to harm/hurt anyone. I am pretty much a "what you get is what you see" person, I know that some people don't like my style, but that's fine. Sometimes I speak before I think, and that has gotten me in the crap a few times, but I'm getting better at keeping foot-out-of-mouth as I'm getting older. I am who I am, the way I am, and if people can't handle me then that's their prerogative and that's fine with me. (Steps back onto lower ground.)

I have found with the KB'ers that I either already knew, or have since met, that on the site they are the same as how I know them in real life, or who I expected them to be. (Not sure if that really makes sense....)

Some really good thoughtful comments on this thread. Thanks for starting it Motu.

Contrary to what you might think; I'm God-fearing, ACT voting, Police supporting, Treaty waving, tree hugging, car driver and I'm REALLY confused.

Wow,that's sumthin eh? I'm on google, how the hell?

Sites that make you use your real name, and in my case company name and address don't see much traffic - everyone is too scared to say anything, using a handle gives people an anominity and encourages discushion.I hate finding a name and am sticking to Motu for most internet identities now.Since I sold the Samara Ladatrouble is no longer appropriate.
