    Good work Dave,
maybe you should add the requirements for nylon (even though its a local requirment), and other groups ie: auckland and christchurch could add their requirments as well.

ps found a new frame but do you know anyone that might have a CDI ?

I thinking about replacing it with a MX one (used to have one, it hasn't really run well since).

my only suggestion is send the RM stator/flywheel & CDI up to this guy I mentioned & he may be able to repair it. Seems a bit more clued up than the average rewinder. The TS ones aren't worth continuing with.

Toss the TS ignition in the bin. A good CR80/125 or YZ80 ignition sort of thing will get you going good. Much more midrange power will be available with the extra advance from the MX ignition in the midrange. On the dyno I got about 30-40% in the middle with no other changes. For info, I've had really good service from I think it was Tauranga Rewinds or something like that.

You need to find someone with an ignition dyno. Pete Sales may have one and I think Wayne Wright(Wobbly) has one. Basically it's just a machine they can mount all the bits onto and give it a whirl(shirl). Really useful for testing advance curves as you vary the speed.

If you can find a workshop manual they usually have the resistances you get between each pin of the cdi so you can test it to see if its in the condition that it should be.

cheers I had tried that in the past - with not much joy, the one I've got (cdi) seems to drift under load ?????. - think it should be added to bin, along with the TF bits and start again.
So If anyone wreaking a MX then drop me a line.
though has anyone tried a kt100 gokart system on a bike ??? nice and simple looking.

Ignition Dyno - so in theory you want to run the ignition through verying RPM, and data log the spark and the location (around the 360), plus the Rpm is this correct ????.
    - thats a good use for my of my old dataloggers. - i might follow that one up. cheers speedpro.
