People just dont care anymore, they are either busy shopping, or driving somewhere, and wont deviate from their chosen path to alleviate someone elses grief. I'm a firm believer in the saying "charity begins at home", which I dont always intrpret in the literal sense, but refer to home as "NZ".
Been there done that. I found a distraught kid wandering around Warehouse and thought twice but did take her hand and took her up to the help counter. I made sure I said in quite a loud voice (for those who were standing around watching) "Are you lost? Would you like to go to the front desk?" I even had a couple of people follow (at a safe distance). But none actually wanted to help the kid.
I know if I was lost/hurt/or other that someone would help me. I always try to help even if its not much. I applaud John Campbell for his actions a few weeks ago.

I think it is a sad reflection on the society we live in where people won't help someone clearly in need.

    What goes around comes around.

Big ups for those who do help.

Its ashame that there are people out there who do things and then when people who genuinely want to help, try and help, they then need to be "cautious" so that they don't get themselves in any trouble when all they want to do is help. Or in some cases they don't help at all, in cause someone then points the finger.
