Turkey is high on the official list of Places For The Hitchers To Visit. South America, particularly Uruguay, Argentina, Peru, Paraguay and Chile would be a blast as well. Money and time-off-work issues notwithstanding, I'd like to do the ride from Prudhoe Bay in Alaska to Usuaiah in Argentina.

Been around most of the western world when I was pretty young as dad's job paid for holidays...

More recently Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney......

Mate - if you go to India you MUST visit my home state of Goa.

It's the bestestestest place in the world, whether you want to get high on any drug money can buy at some of the biggest parties in the world or want to visit some of the most beautiful beaches in the world - or forests and waterfalls - or visit 500 year old churches and temples with interiors so spectacular you need to see it to believe it - to ultra exclusive US$2000 a night resorts....... Goa has it all.

"a pitfall of conducting market research to obtain a model name is 'that certain names have different meanings for different people.' An example of this is the Mitsubishi Pajero. Officially named after the grass cat of the same name, which hunts its prey in the reeds and grasslands of South America. Therefore, it's an apt name for a four-wheel drive model. However, Pajero in Spanish has an unfortunate meaning, wanker."
