    Question Decrypts But Wont Shrink

Yep, DVD Decrypter decrypted the DVD ok with no stated errors but got the message when I tried opening the decrypted files with DVD Shrink 3.2:
DVD Shrink encounted a error and cannot continue.
Invalid data in file "(name of where file kept in PC)\(name of DVD)\VTS_08_1.VOB"
Overlapped I/O operation is in progress.

Only had this message with this Movie from both times I have decrypted it from two different DVDs. It is a rescent Movie and it does have interactive stuff for PC's on it. Could it be a new way of protecting against copying? Doesn't stop decryption but can't shrink it. Have had to split the files to 2 DVD discs for temp storage, have to copy both discs then play it from the hard drive to see movie using a PC.

Could the Hard drive be full?

Just try using DVDshrink for the whole process. I do and have never had any problems.

Another option is to use the option of remastering the DVD in DVD Shrink.

take out the offending part. A bonus is that you have less compression on the movie as well.

Also, you may want to look into DVD43, which decrypts the DVD on the fly, so yoou just need to do the compression.

    Good luck.

Sounds like there is another process with a lock on the file. Are all your other app's closed? Including any explorer/my computer windows? Try rebooting the pc and then rerunning dvdshrink.

Have only had dvdshrink fail once on me, it got most of the way through a movie then said "copy protected, cannot continue" or some crap. otherwise a damned good program.

Others I know swear by DVD to one, havent used it myself. Havent seen DVD43 either, will look into that - cheers riffer.
